[2080.4-2090.0] using any particular affirmations. That would be apparently quite true and this [2090.0-2095.8] could get into a long dissertation and in an attempt to define channeling as [2095.8-2101.3] such as it is practiced more and more these days and for example let me give [2101.3-2106.3] you an alternate there to give you an idea of the wideness of such a [2106.5-2112.6] discussion. One of our associates is a psychologist who practices in Richmond and [2112.6-2123.1] one of his major areas or patients are those with multiple personalities and in [2123.1-2130.1] dealing with this particular dysfunction he has discovered and especially being [2130.1-2137.5] associated with us that every one of his patients has in one of its multiple [2137.5-2145.6] personalities a channel type character who is omniscient who has all of the [2145.6-2152.0] characteristics that these others are finding in the whole channeling [2152.0-2157.6] process that is taking place at an ever widening level. So it brings up [2157.6-2164.5] immediately the question is what is this channel? Could it possibly be an [2164.5-2169.0] aspective personality of that individual and quote nothing more and that's an [2169.0-2173.1] understatement. It's something very magnificent hidden within the [2173.1-2182.6] personality of each individual or is it truly an exterior self personality that [2182.7-2194.6] in turn is somehow made a and I don't like the word intrusion but a connection as it were with the one who is performing the channeling. [2194.6-2203.5] See there are many many questions involved here. Could all of them be true? I mean some of the channeling that I have heard is so [2203.5-2210.1] I hate to use the word dumb but it's not very bright and it's probably no brighter at all than the person who's doing it. [2210.1-2215.7] And others it's been very clear that the person who's talking is brighter than the person who's the channel. [2215.7-2239.7] It's quite possible and you're right they could be all of the above. This is what I was trying to say I think is that the jury is still out on what channeling really is and it may still be out for years to come simply because of that tremendous variation lying within the channeled personalities as it were. Very interesting. [2239.8-2251.7] And the other interesting part of course is that the spiritualist church has been doing this for many many years and they have a system of teaching one to quote be a trance medium as it used to be called. [2252.5-2265.3] And they on the other hand often featured relatives or dead relatives and friends of that particular person were performing the channels instead of this [2266.2-2277.1] discarnate all seeing and all knowing third party which is so common. It's a very significant difference but here but it is not truly something new. [2278.2-2290.7] We have I don't think we've ever actually in all of our and we are into close to a thousand such experimental runs in our lab over the years. [2291.6-2300.6] We've never encountered the dead friend or relative of one of our people. Now why that's another question but we never have. [2301.0-2307.6] You think that's because of the intent of the person saying information and going out looking for intelligent life rather than trying to contact dead aunt Milly. [2307.7-2316.2] Quite quite possibly. We've even tried a couple times to catch a dead wife or husband and and I haven't had too much luck. [2317.5-2323.7] You would according to the mores and belief systems that we have in our culture you would think that would be really see wouldn't you. [2324.6-2340.4] Well I would hope that no one can call me back. I would hope that when I pass on that I'll be in another school other than earth school and I'll be learning better lessons and if someone starts calling hey Hanes come back here and answer where the socks go that left the dryer. [2340.4-2342.8] I hope I could turn that off and not come back. [2343.1-2358.3] Well as you know I'm doing a third book at this time that is called ultimate journey which deals very much with the death process a and B the set or individualization beyond death. [2359.1-2365.0] And that's a very common question. Well how can I believe that I'm going to survive death because there haven't been any reports about it. [2366.0-2369.9] All these people say they're going to come back and report in and everything else and they don't do it. [2370.6-2386.9] And the answer that I like to give on that is well first of all any number throughout history have come back and talked about it and nobody would believe that they were doing it so they finally gave up and discussed for the most part each one of them. [2387.6-2390.3] The second is it's not that easy. [2390.8-2396.0] You simply can't pick up a telephone or open the door and walk in and say here Hanes here I am. [2396.9-2398.0] You call it so here I am. [2398.1-2399.3] It's not that easy. [2399.3-2399.9] But. [2400.0-2407.3] The third and most significant thing is that, and this is kind of hard on those of us who [2407.3-2414.8] have been living with that loved one who say, decided to exit and go elsewhere, is that for [2414.8-2419.5] the most part that departed one is just plain too busy. [2419.5-2421.5] I hope so. [2421.5-2433.2] There's much, much in the business of doing something else, and this life was like a dream. [2433.2-2439.7] Mine is like a dream when one moves into that other reality system and shares importance [2439.7-2443.5] with perhaps 10,000 other dreams, or at least 1,000. [2443.5-2448.3] So this one just because it was, quote, the most recent, and it really isn't that because [2448.3-2454.7] it's out of time, doesn't have the importance that one would like it to be. [2454.7-2459.2] I had a very convincing example of that this morning during one of our programs this morning. [2459.2-2464.5] I said, well, didn't you hear me calling to you when we were in that state? [2464.5-2467.7] And I was having such a much of my own experience at the time I wouldn't have heard anybody [2467.7-2468.7] calling you if they did. [2468.7-2474.8] And she said, but I screamed your name, and I said, well, I was busy, sorry. [2474.8-2483.0] But it's that question you see, and this is rather hard on the bereaved mate sitting back [2483.0-2488.1] here in this time space to say, well, he said he would love me throughout eternity. [2488.1-2495.6] He does love you throughout eternity, but he had 1,000 other females that he had that [2495.6-2502.6] love throughout eternity, and you have that beautiful illusion that you are more important [2502.6-2510.3] than the 1,000 other mates that he had when he can't quite be so. [2510.3-2512.0] What is the ultimate journey? [2512.0-2517.6] I'm sure that the near-death or shortly after-death experience is only step one. [2517.6-2526.6] I'd take the title and use ultimate journey as meaning that that's the ultimate journey [2526.6-2532.0] that we all face as physical human beings, and that ultimate journey, of course, is death. [2532.0-2539.7] The transformation and emancipation of it is that that occurs during death, or as a result [2539.7-2544.8] of death, that being the ultimate journey, that death is our ultimate journey. [2544.8-2551.6] And bear in mind, of course, that this particular book is aimed not at the person who is very [2551.6-2562.0] familiar with the whole area of new consciousness, but it is aimed very specifically at that [2562.0-2569.5] middle America way of thinking, and that's why it takes a position that one who's never [2569.5-2579.2] really considered the death process, in turn, will be interested in reading ultimate journey, [2579.2-2580.6] I hope. [2580.6-2586.1] If one attempts, maybe through your methods or however they do it, to learn actively to [2586.1-2590.4] control out-of-body experiences, is that training for the death experience? [2590.4-2594.7] Is that more or less what they're going to have experience when they die? [2594.7-2595.7] Yes. [2595.7-2604.6] The out-of-body experience, of course, has a very great near-death to that of death, except [2604.6-2605.8] for one very neat thing. [2605.8-2610.0] You still have a hook back here. [2610.0-2618.1] You can perform all of the things that you would do when you exit here in the out-of-body [2618.1-2621.1] state once you become that proficient to do so. [2621.5-2627.6] You say, hook back here, could it be that we're living there and sleep is the hook back [2627.6-2628.9] there? [2628.9-2633.9] There's much to support that. [2633.9-2640.1] As I stated, you realize that the sleep state, the delta sleep state, is so similar to the [2640.1-2645.9] out-of-body state that what are we doing in the delta sleep state? [2645.9-2650.0] Are we going there, as it were, and cavorting around and having a good time and saying, [2650.0-2651.1] well, it's time to go back. [2651.1-2654.5] I've got to go wake up, and you wake up here. [2654.5-2658.5] Or they could be saying, I've got to lie down and dream again, and you wake up here. [2658.5-2659.6] Right. [2659.6-2666.9] Which is the real us. [2666.9-2673.0] Stop and think about that one for a long time. [2673.0-2681.9] The average person who reads about things like this, somewhere in them, at least in [2681.9-2687.2] me, I always think, am I having dreams while I'm awake, or am I having out-of-body [2687.2-2689.6] experiences while I'm awake? [2689.6-2693.5] Are these things going on all together at the same time, and we're just focusing on one [2693.5-2694.5] at a time? [2694.5-2700.1] I think I tried to do that with my infamous line drawings and saying this above and below [2700.1-2704.9] the line, and the concept that we are flickering constantly. [2704.9-2711.4] Right at this moment, our awareness, our consciousness is flickered on the here. [2711.4-2716.9] If that waveform is moving up and down, let's say between here and there, every, say, a [2716.9-2723.0] thousandths of a second, we cannot perceive the part of that sine wave where we are there, [2723.0-2730.1] because we can't really perceive anything that is flickering that fast within our consciousness. [2730.1-2734.3] Is that the principle of when you change our vibration rates by the sounds that we [2734.3-2735.9] listen to? [2735.9-2739.7] As our vibration rate changes, we're more able to catch those flickers. [2739.7-2741.2] That's exactly it, Hanes. [2742.0-2747.7] We're helping you move in that direction of awareness of there, and simply by changing [2747.7-2756.5] this vibrational rate to be more in tune, as it were, with that particular vibration. [2756.5-2760.2] This is changing the topic a little bit, but it's on the topic of your Far Journeys [2760.2-2761.2] book. [2761.2-2767.4] You mentioned in that book that outside of the Earth, at some standoff distance from [2767.4-2771.7] the Earth, there are entities from all over the galaxy, intelligent beings from [2771.7-2776.1] everywhere, that have gathered here to sort of look and see what's going to happen in [2776.1-2777.1] the Earth. [2777.1-2781.1] You mentioned an event, an energy shift of some type that's going to occur that [2781.1-2784.0] occurs once every 87 million years. [2784.0-2786.5] Is that a shift of consciousness or a physical shift? [2786.5-2787.5] What is the shift? [2787.5-2793.2] As I understand it, and my pitiful little consciousness has great difficulty in [2793.2-2798.6] understanding it, it is an energy shift. [2798.6-2808.9] It is, let's say, a standing wave is to be created between two energies encountering one [2808.9-2811.3] another, something on that order. [2811.3-2814.0] You say, well, what energies? [2814.0-2817.7] They're not definable in time, space, and physical matter sense. [2817.7-2820.8] They're not electromagnetic, they're not gravitic. [2820.8-2827.7] So, some of our physicists could perhaps give you a good theory as to what that appears [2827.7-2828.7] to be.
